In celebration of 5 years since opening the doors to Ray White Belconnen, and as part of their commitment to giving back to the local Belconnen & Gungahlin community, the team at Ray White have launched a new initiative for grass roots organisations in the area.
“We are constantly amazed by the acts of kindness and selflessness in our community, and have never taken for granted that our business is a part of the Belconnen & Gungahlin community” said Ray White Belconnen Managing Director Ben Faulks
“We appreciate that we are very fortunate to have been open for 5 years, and that our business owes any and all of it’s success to the support that we receive from the residents of the Belconnen & Gungahlin region. This is our way of giving something back.”
Each quarter Ray White Belconnen will give away $1,000 to local community organisations. The donations will be broken into 1 x $500 donation and 2 x $250 donations to the businesses that receive the most support on the Ray White Belconnen Facebook page.
The initiative aims to help Ray White Belconnen identify grass roots organisations who may otherwise struggle to attract funding, and to allow those organisers to leverage the power of social media to spread the word about what they are doing in their community.
“The aim is to not only provide a financial contributions to local organisations, but to also build an audience of Facebook users in the area who have an increased awareness of those doing good for our local residents” “We hope that this initiative will also allow us to direct our community contributions to the organisations that have the greatest impact in our local area.”
Three organisations will be chosen by the team at Ray White from those nominated by the community each quarter, and they will be announced on Ray White Belconnen’s Facebook page. Those organisations that are selected will be invited to share the post with their own networks, and the community group that receives the most comments during this period will receive the $500 donation. The other two organisations will each receive $250.
